A cosy place with simple decor. Staff were friendly and helpful; service was quick. Food was fresh and yummy. The west coast roll had a bit of a spicy kick to it. Price range is $$. Definitely would go back if I am in the area.

Amazing and fresh sushi with lots of great choices for lunch. You can enjoy on-site or get a take-a-way, and it's always delicious and satisfactory.

My favourite sushi restaurant on the north shore. Excellent service, I love the way the chef's acknowledge you when you come in. Small, crowded, popular, sometimes overrun with takeout. But, the best sushi!

Service is good. I enjoy the kanji words carved out of vegetables. Prices are a bit higher seeing as it is in North Vancouver

Some of the best Japanese cuisine I think I've ever had. It is in our regular rotation and would be a weekly visit if the kids had thier way.

Solid Sushi, amazing special rolls and the staff was happy, warm and welcoming.

Tasty food, rolls and cones were great. The Don was meh and for what we ordered, it was more expensive than it needed to be.

Top quality sushi. Gourmet preparation and presentation. I especially loved the Dragon Roll. It is a shrimp tempura roll topped with a generous serving of poke style chunks of spicy tuna. They blend their house sauce into the spicy tuna which provides a nice hint of rice wine vinegar tartiness to round out the flavor profile.

Always great service and really tasty food

Staff were nice and capable of dealing with the lunch rush. Sushi rolls and nigiri were overly pressed, it’s solid and dense. Fish was fresh and the general presentation was nice. Fried items like tempura and tofu was ok, certainly could use a lighter batter. This is a Japanese restaurant operated by Koreans.

A German who lives in London, comes to Vancouver and stumbles upon Hachi Hana... to be blown away by the Sushi. 10 out of 10 would - super friendly and helpful staff as well. Thanks a lot!

Always my first choice to have lunch or dinner, if I somewhere around in North Vancouver. Place is clean, stuff is friendly and respectful. Usually parking is busy on the front, but they are always many available spots around. Highly recommend!

A nice setting for some traditional japanese food. Staff is very friendly and prompt with ordering and attentiveness. Food is of good quality and fresh. One of my favorite little Japanese restaurants on lonsdale.

This place has amazing sushi, it is one of my favorite spots in Vancouver, and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Friendly staff and good service. Must try their daily special sashimi and nigiri sushi, which is really fresh and properly seasoned. Their sushi rice is exceptional and properly pre -seasoned. Prawn tempura was excellent with crispy skin and juicy shrimp inside. Overall, with come back in the future.

Awesome food and fast service

Surprisingly delicious sushi place in North Van! Interesting and unique rolls. Price is a bit on the expensive side of $13 to $15 per specialty roll but they were quite delicious! The Bento box for lunch has a nice variety of everything. They only serve Sockeye salmon which is quite a treat! Friendly staff despite being super busy for lunch time. Small restaurant with limited seating. Worth making a reservation to try their rolls for sure! Nice presentation of the food too!

Nice sushi spot! Probably the better on that’s located on the north shore. The food is fresh, the service no so much. If you don’t feel like driving downtown and have $40-$50 to spend for 2 people than this is a decent place

This place is the best sushi that I have had in a VERY long time. I had the tuna and sockeye salmon don. Even the lettuce tasted good (and I hate lettuce)! For food that was so good the prices were super reasonable. 100% would recommend.

High quality food, lots of variety on the menu for an average price. Their rolls are exceptionable and their rice bowl dishes are tasty and well seasoned. I particularly liked their donburi.

The sushi and the service here is top notch. I would always recommended this sushi place over anything else in the area. Seating is very good as well.

I come back here often when craving sushi. They are so friendly and welcoming! Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The space is clean, bright, comfortable and modern. Even the washroom!

Very nice atmosphere and good food. The service was very friendly- the staff greet you when you arrive and thank you when you leave. Good menu options and reasonably priced. I would recommend checking them out if you are in the area and looking for sushi.

OK - here's some advice. Don't ever ask a customer getting takeout "Do you need your change?". Especially not when it is nearly $10 - in fact, ever! I don't know of anyone who tips for takeout - perhaps I'm wrong. Regardless, it is very uncool to ask and put the customer in an uncomfortable position of having to say "yes" and making them feel stingy. I always tip generously when I dine in, because I have received service. What service have you provided me whan I pick up takeout? Handing me a bag? Just don't do it. Food was very average. Would have given 3 stars based on the food alone. Sushi Station is much better and cheaper and have never fished for a tip for takeout.

Eel is very tasty. Salmon don and rolls are good as well. A bit small amount of fish in salmon rolls. Friendly service. Roe was too salty. Will return here again.

Friendly local Japanese restaurant. Came here for lunch and had their bento box. Decent price for the area and good portion of food. I like how their cooked food is not overly salted or greasy.Waitress were friendly and professional. A good option to try out if you're in the Lonsdale area.

Hachi Hana is the beginning and end of sushi restaurants worth visiting on the North Shore. I’ve been coming here for years and the quality has never changed..it’s simply the best. Yes it’s a bit more expensive than other places, but the quality is outstanding. Over the years so many sushi places have come and gone on Lonsdale and HH is the only one still around that’s worth visiting. Ask for the Dragon Roll!

Had an amaaazing veggie Udon. Will go back for sure!
